Who is this course for?
Created for Year 6 students sitting the Selective High School Test, ideal for capable learners who have begun preparing and now need to sharpen their skills and strategy.
Do we need weekly selective tutoring as well?
The Ultimate Selective High School Test Preparation Holiday Course is a strong boost, but many families combine it with weekly 1-on-1 selective school tutoring ($98/hr) to build skills steadily and reinforce strategies before the exam.
How is the Selective course different from weekly lessons?
Weekly lessons build core foundations with personalised support, targeted homework, and steady skill development. The holiday course is more intensive — designed to refine understanding, sharpen strengths, and deliver high-level, exam-focused practice.
Do students need to attend all three days?
Yes, students should attend all three days. Each session builds on the last, and the course is designed to flow as one complete program.
What will my child take home?
Your child will leave with a full set of course notes, worked examples, and their completed tasks — everything they need to review, practise, and feel prepared.
Is the course in-centre or online?
Both. Families can choose from all MWNS centres across Sydney and the Central Coast, or join live online from home.
What should my child bring to the course?
We encourage students to bring lunch, snacks, a water bottle, their pencil case, and any learning aids they may need (such as reading glasses). All other learning resources will be provided.
How early should we book?
With small class sizes for personalised support, spots are limited. We recommend booking early.
When are results for the Selective High School Test released?
The results for the NSW Selective High School Test (Year 7 entry 2026) are scheduled for release in late August 2025.
