Frequently Asked Questions
Ultimate NAPLAN Preparation Course
Frequently Asked Questions Ultimate NAPLAN Preparation Course
What is NAPLAN?
NAPLAN is a national assessment for students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 that tests skills in Reading, Writing, Language Conventions, and Numeracy. It helps schools understand how students are progressing and where they may need extra support.
When is the NAPLAN test window?
Students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 will sit NAPLAN between Wednesday 11th March and Monday 23rd March 2026.
Who is the NAPLAN course for?
Our NAPLAN course is for students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 who want to feel well-prepared, confident, and supported heading into the national assessment. Perfect for students who need to strengthen core literacy and numeracy skills, improve test performance, or benefit from learning in a structured, focused environment.
Do we need weekly NAPLAN tutoring as well?
The NAPLAN Holiday Course gives students a strong boost, but many families combine it with weekly 1-on-1 NAPLAN tutoring ($98/hr) to build skills steadily and reinforce strategies before the test.
How is the NAPLAN course different from weekly lessons?
Weekly lessons strengthen core Reading, Writing, Language Conventions, and Numeracy skills through personalised teaching and consistent practice. The holiday course is a concentrated boost that sharpens skills and builds exam readiness with targeted NAPLAN practice.
Do students need to attend all three days?
Yes, we recommend attending all three days. The content is delivered in order, and each session prepares students for the next.
What will my child take home?
Your child will take home all course notes, worked examples, and completed activities, giving them everything they need to revise and stay prepared.
Is the course in-centre or online?
Both. Families can choose from all MWNS centres across Sydney and the Central Coast, or join live online from home.
What should my child bring to the course?
We encourage students to bring lunch, snacks, a water bottle, their pencil case, and any learning aids they may need (such as reading glasses). All other learning resources will be provided.
How early should we book?
With small class sizes for personalised support, spots are limited. We recommend booking early.
