We have over 15,000 resources in-centre and online. Tutors select the most suitable worksheets, hands-on tools, and digital materials to personalise each lesson. Commonly used resources include clocks, educational games, past paper questions, counters, dice, protractors, flashcards, and PowerPoints.
Yes! Homework is set to reinforce skills, with around 30 minutes allocated per class. We can adjust the workload to suit your child’s workload and goals – just let us know!
Your child’s tutor will share detailed lesson notes after every lesson via the Parent Portal. Each update includes a written evaluation and progress tracked against the NSW Curriculum.
Ms Lhara has completed a Certificate IV in School Based Education Support at TAFE and teaches a variety of dance styles at their own school and in schools around Sydney. They bring practical experience and a flexible teaching approach that meets each student’s individual needs.

Ms Leah is studying Secondary Education and Arts at Macquarie University, majoring in Ancient History with minors in Sociology and Modern History. She has six years of experience tutoring primary students in English, Maths, and Junior Creative Writing, and has recently been recognised as a student teacher after passing her LANTITE exams.
She is passionate about fostering independent learners, encouraging critical thinking, curiosity, and a growth mindset in a safe, engaging environment.
Mr Ayush, currently studying Data Science and Finance at the University of Sydney, has experience teaching mathematics from Years 1 to 12. He focuses on connecting senior-level concepts to foundational principles, ensuring students develop a solid understanding.
Passionate about small-group learning, he tailors sessions to each student’s knowledge and needs, helping them build confidence, master concepts, and develop problem-solving skills that support academic success and long-term understanding.
Ms Grace is currently studying a Bachelor of Primary Education at the University of Notre Dame Australia. She is passionate about teaching and aims to make a positive, lasting impact on her students’ learning.
Ms Grace creates a safe, interactive environment filled with engaging activities that challenge students while keeping learning enjoyable. She loves seeing students achieve goals that once seemed difficult and builds confidence by supporting each child’s unique learning journey.
Mr Yiannis holds a Bachelor of Science with a major in Mathematics from the University of Patras in Greece. He taught in schools and tutoring centres there for 10 years before moving to Sydney, where he has been tutoring since 2004. His wealth of experience makes him a highly knowledgeable and approachable educator.
He is dedicated to helping students reach their potential and loves seeing concepts “click” to build confidence.
Mr Mike holds a Bachelor of Science majoring in Mathematics, a Graduate Diploma in Education, and a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Actuarial Studies from Macquarie University. He has taught secondary students in tuition colleges and high schools, bringing expertise and practical insight to his lessons.
Passionate about building understanding and confidence, Mr Mike tailors lessons to each learner’s needs. He loves seeing students gain clarity, assurance, and long-term skills in mathematics.
Mr Patrick is currently studying a Bachelor of Primary education from the University Of Notre Dame. Mr Patrick has no previous experience, Mr Patrick’s Passion for teaching came from watching his younger family members grow up and helping nurture them into the young people they are today, Mr Patrick’s passion for teaching also comes from coaching numerous youth soccer teams and watching them grow and develop their skills.
Mr Patrick chose to work at MWNS as Mr Patrick wanted to further help more children realise their full potential and help nurture and develop it and MWNS is the perfect place for Mr Patrick to help students achieve this as well as to develop their confidence and further grow their knowledge.
Mr Max is currently studying Mathematics (Honours) and Computer Science at the University of New South Wales. He has been tutoring high school mathematics since completing his HSC and loves inspiring students to explore topics beyond the classroom.
Mr Max believes every student can enjoy and excel in maths when lessons are tailored to their needs. He likens mathematics to a pyramid — each new concept built on a solid foundation.
Mr Nethul Tennakoon is a Mechanical Engineering (Honours) student at the University of Sydney and a Dalyell Scholar, with a strong background in Mathematics and Science. He achieved outstanding results in Sri Lanka’s GCE Advanced Levels, ranking 49th nationally in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics, and has earned multiple High Distinctions in university maths and engineering units.
He has tutored students across primary and high school, known for breaking complex concepts into clear, engaging steps. Mr Nethul focuses on building confidence by celebrating strengths and patiently supporting areas of difficulty. He values MWNS’ personalised, small-group approach and enjoys helping students grow into motivated, independent learners.
Ms Linara Tennakoon is an enthusiastic educator and undergraduate student currently completing a Bachelor of Aeronautical Engineering (Honours) at the University of Sydney. She holds a Working With Children Licence and has strong academic credentials, including A* results in Mathematics and English at both O-Level and A-Level. Ms Linara has professional teaching experience as a Lecturer and Course Coordinator (Mathematics & English) at Lanka College of Teachers Training and the Institute of Nations Professional Management, where she supported diverse learners through structured lessons and clear explanations. She is passionate about inclusive, student-centred teaching and adapting instruction to suit individual learning styles. Ms Linara chose to work with MWNS because the small-group learning model aligns with her belief in building student confidence through personalised guidance and ongoing encouragement.
Mr Sandip is a passionate tutor currently pursuing a Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering at the University of Sydney. With a strong background in mathematics, physics, and astronomy, he began teaching through Nepal’s Partnership in Education (PIE) project, supporting students from Year 1 to Year 10.
