When is the Opportunity Class Placement Test?
The 2026 OC Placement Test will run from Friday 1st May to Sunday 3rd May 2026, with a make-up test on Friday 22 May 2026.
When is the application window for the OC Test?
Applications for the 2026 test (Year 5 OC entry in 2027) are open from 6th November 2025 to 20th February 2026.
Who is this course for?
Designed for high-potential Year 4 students preparing for the OC Test. This course is ideal for children who enjoy challenge, work above grade level, or want to strengthen their reasoning skills and exam strategy before test day.
Do we need weekly OC tutoring as well?
The holiday course provides a strong boost, but most families combine it with weekly OC tutoring to build skills steadily, fill gaps, and reinforce strategies before the exam.
How is the OC course different from weekly lessons?
Weekly lessons focus on foundational skills, personalised support, and consistent practice. The holiday course is intensive and structured, designed to refine understanding, sharpen strengths, and deliver high-level exam-style practice across all OC Test areas.
Do students need to attend all three days?
Yes, each day builds on the last, and the course is designed as one complete program for best results.
What will my child take home?
A full set of course notes, worked examples, and completed tasks and everything they need to revise, practise, and feel prepared after the course.
Is the course in-centre or online?
Both. Families can choose from all MWNS centres across Sydney and the Central Coast, or join live online from home.
What should my child bring to the course?
Please pack lunch, snacks, a water bottle, pencil case, and any learning aids they may need (e.g., reading glasses). All course materials are provided.
How early should we book?
We keep classes small to ensure personalisation, so places fill quickly. We recommend booking early to secure your child’s spot.
When are results for the Opportunity Class Test released?
Results for the 2026 OC Test are expected in late August 2026.
